Hardtop Models
  1. Remove the front door trim and inner mirror garnish.
  2.  
  3. Remove the inner mirror garnish.
  4.  
  5. Unclip the outer sealing strip from the door. Pull the water deflector far enough away from the door to gain access to the bottom channel-to-regulator screws.
  6.  
  7. Remove the window bottom channel-to-regulator retaining screws.
  8.  
  9. Remove the window assembly from the door.
  10.  
  11. Remove the window from the bottom channel.
  12.  

To install:
  1. Install the window to the bottom channel. Coat the bottom channel with soapy water to ease installation.
  2.  
  3. Install the window assembly to the door. Align the window bottom channel so that the distance from the bottom channel rear screw to the rear edge of the window is 11.95 in. on 2-door models or 9.96 in. on 4-door models.
  4.  
  5. Install the window bottom channel-to-regulator retaining screws. Tighten screws to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm).
  6.  

Overtightening screws may break window.

  1. Adjust regulator screws so that measurements between the front door window and the front door window frame are equal at the front and rear of the top edge.
  2.  
  3. Inspect window for correct front/rear and left/right position.
  4.  
  5. Place water deflector in its normal position.
  6.  
  7. Clip outer sealing strip onto door.
  8.  
  9. Install inner mirror garnish to door and install door panel.
  10.  

Convertible Models
  1. Remove the front door trim and inner mirror garnish.
  2.  
  3. Remove the inner mirror bezel. Pull the water deflector far enough away from the door to gain access to the bottom channel-to-regulator screws.
  4.  
  5. Remove the door trim support.
  6.  
  7. Remove the window regulator mounting nuts.
  8.  
  9. Remove the window assembly from the door.
  10.  
  11. Remove the regulator bottom bolts from the window, the window male stopper, the window male stabilizer and the front and rear guide brackets.
  12.  

To install:
  1. Loosen upper and lower front and rear window guide mounting nuts.
  2.  
  3. Install front and rear guide bracket to window and secure with bolts. Tighten bolts to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Install male stabilizer and stopper to window and secure with bolts. Tighten bolts to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install regulator bottom bolts and tighten to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm).
  8.  

Overtightening screws may break window.

  1. Install window assembly to door.
  2.  
  3. Install regulator-to-window bolts and tighten to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Install door trim supports and secure with screw. Clip outer sealing strip to door.
  6.  
  7. Tighten front and rear window guide upper and lower mounting nuts at the center of the oblong holes in the door panel to 115 inch lbs. (13 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Raise window to its fully closed position. Inspect window for correct front/rear and left/right position. If window is not properly positioned, correct by loosening the front and rear window guide mounting nuts and adjusting the front and rear window guides.
  10.  
  11. Adjust regulator equalizer screws so that measurements between the top stack link and the front door window are equal at the front and rear of the window top.
  12.  
  13. Install the water deflector, inner mirror bezel and door panel.
  14.
