Both the Nova and the Prizm have fuses found in 2 locations. One fuse box is located within the cabin of the car, just under the extreme left side of the dashboard. This fuse box generally contains the fuses for body and cabin electrical circuits such as the wipers, rear defogger, ignition, cigarette lighter, etc. In addition, various relays and circuit breakers for cabin equipment are also mounted on or around this fuse box.
The second fuse block is found under the hood on the forward part of the left wheelhouse. The Nova uses a combination fuse block and relay board while the Prizm has an additional relay board next to the fusebox. The fuses and relays generally control the engine and major electrical systems on the car, such as headlights (separate fuses for left and right), air conditioning, horns, fuel injection, ECM, and fans.
Both the Nova and the Prizm have an additional small panel below the right side dash board containing a fuse (air conditioner) and a relay and circuit breaker for the heater system.1991-93
