REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Nova
  1. Remove the door trim panel.
  2.
  3. Carefully remove the water deflector shield from inside the door. Take your time and don't rip it.
  4.
  5. Disconnect the link rod running between the lock cylinder and the lock/latch mechanism.
  6.
  7. The lock is held to the door by a horse-shoe shaped retaining clip. Slide the clip free of the lock and remove the cylinder from the outside of the door.
  8.

To install:
  1. Install the new cylinder and install the clip. The retaining clip has a slight bend in it and will install under tension. Do not attempt to straighten the clip.
  2.
  3. Connect the link rod.
  4.
  5. Install the water deflector shield, making sure that it is intact and firmly attached all the way around.
  6.
  7. Reinstall the door trim panel.
