GM S-Series Pick-ups and SUV's 1994-1999 Repair Guide

Brake Light Switch

Print

A brake light switch is mounted to the pedal bracket on all vehicles covered by this information. The purpose of the switch is to illuminate the brake lights whenever the pedal is depressed, therefore proper operation and adjustment is critical to safe vehicle operation. The switch is snapped into position on the pushrod, so no adjustment is necessary or possible.
