REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Spectrum
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and properly discharge the refrigerant system.
  2.  
  3. Remove the radiator grille and emblem.
  4.  
  5. Remove the compressor discharge line at the condenser.
  6.  
  7. Remove the accumulator/dehydrator outlet line at the dehydrator.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the electrical connections at the condenser and the drier.
  10.  
  11. Remove the upper end of the hood latch support.
  12.  
  13. Remove the condenser fasteners and the condenser.
  14.  
  15. Transfer all of the necessary parts.
  16.  
  17. Replace the O-rings and lubricate.
  18.  

To install:
  1. Install the condenser and the condenser fasteners.
  2.  
  3. Install the upper end of the hood latch support.
  4.  
  5. Connect the electrical connectors to the condenser and the drier.
  6.  
  7. Connect the accumulator/dehydrator outlet line to the dehydrator.
  8.  
  9. Connect the compressor discharge line at the condenser.
  10.  
  11. Install the radiator grille and emblem.
  12.  
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.
  14.  
  15. Evacuate and charge the air conditioning system and check for leaks.
  16.  

Storm
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and properly discharge the refrigerant system.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the condenser fan electrical connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the six bolts from the radiator core support and remove the support.
  6.  
  7. Remove the two bolts from the hood latch assembly and remove the assembly.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the triple switch electrical connector.
  10.  
  11. Remove the one bolt securing the compressor discharge pipe to the condenser fitting and disconnect the pipe from the fitting.
  12.  
  13. Remove the one bolt securing the receiver/drier-to-evaporator pipe at the receiver/drier fitting and disconnect.
  14.  
  15. Disconnect the chassis harness retaining clip from the front end panel near the receiver/drier.
  16.  
  17. Remove the two condenser retaining bolts.
  18.  
  19. Remove the condenser, condenser fan and receiver/drier from the vehicle as a unit.
  20.  
  21. Disconnect the condenser-to-receiver/drier pipe at the receiver/drier.
  22.  
  23. Remove the one screw securing the receiver/drier to the mounting bracket and remove the receiver/drier.
  24.  
  25. Remove the four bolts securing the fan to the condenser and remove the fan.
  26.  
  27. Remove the bolt from the receiver/drier mounting bracket and remove the condenser.
  28.  

To install:
  1. Connect the receiver/drier bracket and the condenser fan to the condenser and tighten the bolts.
  2.  
  3. Connect the receiver/drier to the mounting bracket and tighten the screw.
  4.  
  5. Connect the condenser-to-receiver/drier pipe at the receiver/drier.
  6.  
  7. Install the condenser, condenser fan, and receiver/drier to the vehicle as a unit and tighten the two retaining bolts.
  8.  
  9. Connect the chassis harness retaining clip to the front end panel, near the receiver/drier.
  10.  
  11. Connect the receiver/drier-to-evaporator pipe at the receiver/drier fitting.
  12.  
  13. Connect the compressor discharge pipe to the condenser fitting.
  14.  
  15. Connect the triple switch electrical connector.
  16.  
  17. Install the hood latch and tighten the two bolts.
  18.  
  19. Install the radiator core support and tightened the six bolts.
  20.  
  21. Connect the condenser fan electrical connector.
  22.  
  23. Connect the negative battery cable.
  24.
