Receiver/Drier

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Spectrum
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and properly discharge the refrigerant system.
  2.  
  3. Remove the radiator grille.
  4.  
  5. Remove the receiver/drier inlet and outlet lines at the drier.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the electrical connections at the drier switch.
  8.  
  9. Remove the receiver/drier.
  10.  
  11. Transfer the electrical switch.
  12.  

To install:
  1. Install the receiver/drier.
  2.  
  3. Connect the electrical connections to the drier switch.
  4.  
  5. Install the receiver/drier inlet and outlet lines at the drier. Make sure to use new O-rings prior to installation, if equipped.
  6.  
  7. Install the radiator grille.
  8.  
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10.  
  11. Evacuate, charge and check the operation of the system.
  12.  

Storm

See Figure 1

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and properly discharge the refrigerant system.
  2.  
  3. Remove the core support bracket.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the compressor discharge line at the condenser.
  6.  
  7. Remove the two condenser retaining bolts.
  8.

  1. Disconnect the inlet and outlet lines at the receiver/drier.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the triple switch connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the retaining bolts from the receiver/drier mounting bracket.
  6.  
  7. Remove the receiver/drier.
  8.  

To install:
  1. Install the receiver/drier and install the retaining bolts to the receiver/drier mounting bracket.
  2.  
  3. Connect the triple switch connector.
  4.  
  5. Connect the inlet and outlet lines at the receiver/drier. Make sure to use new O-rings prior to installation, if equipped.
  6.  
  7. Install the two condenser retaining bolts.
  8.  
  9. Connect the compressor discharge line at the condenser.
  10.  
  11. Install the core support bracket.
  12.  
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.
  14.  
  15. Evacuate, charge and check the operation of the system.
  16.
