SHIFT LINKAGE



Spectrum
  1. Loosen the 2 adjusting nuts at the control rod link and connect the shift cable to the link on the transaxle.
  2.  
  3. Shift the transaxle into the N detent.
  4.  
  5. Place the shifter lever into the N position.
  6.  
  7. Rotate the link assembly clockwise to remove slack in the cable.
  8.  
  9. Tighten the rear adjusting nut until it makes contact with the link. Tighten the front adjusting nut until it makes contact with the link and tighten the adjusting nuts.

Storm
  1. Place the ignition switch in the LOCK position.
  2.  
  3. Set the selector lever in the PARK position.
  4.  
  5. Loosen the adjuster nuts at the transaxle.
  6.  
  7. Be sure that the shift lever at the transaxle is in the PARK position.
  8.  
  9. Pull the cable forward and tighten the forward adjuster nut until it contacts the shift lever.
  10.  
  11. Tighten the rear nut until it comes in contact with the shift lever.
  12.  
  13. Tighten both adjuster nuts.
  14.  
  15. To adjust the brake drive cable, use the following procedure:
    1. Place the shift lever to the PARK position.
    2.  
    3. Place the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
    4.  
    5. Pull the cable forward at the shift lever bracket and tighten the forward adjuster nut until it makes contact with the bracket.
    6.  
    7. Tighten the rear nut until it makes contact with the shift lever bracket and then tighten both the adjuster nuts.

THROTTLE LINKAGE



  1. Position the ignition switch/key in the LOCK position.
  2.  
  3. Place the selector lever in the P position.
  4.  
  5. Loosen the adjuster nuts on the transaxle. Ensure that the shift lever on the transaxle is in the P position.
  6.  
  7. Pull the cable forward, then tighten the forward adjuster nut until it contacts the shift lever. Tighten the rear nut until it contacts the shift lever.
  8.  
  9. Tighten both adjuster nuts.
