Rear Blower Motor

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Odyssey Models



4-CYLINDER ENGINES
  1. Carefully remove the left and right side lids located on the side of the blower unit at the upper door pillar, by unsnapping them from their 3 mounting points.
  2.  
  3. Carefully unsnap the rear A/C switch, detach the electrical connector and remove the switch.
  4.  
  5. Carefully unsnap the left and right lids at the ends of both the intake and outlet grilles.
  6.  
  7. Remove two self tapping screws from each grille, and remove the intake and outlet grilles.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the left and right drain hoses from the lower trim panel.
  10.  
  11. Remove the 9 fasteners securing the lower panel and remove the panel.
  12.  
  13. Detach the electrical connector from the blower motor assembly.
  14.  
  15. Remove the 4 self tapping screws from the blower motor assembly and remove the blower assembly.
  16.  
  17. Remove the blower motor bracket and blower motor housing screws, then remove the blower from the housing just enough to expose the set screw attaching the fan assembly to the blower.
  18.  
  19. Remove the fan assembly set screw, then remove the blower motor.
  20.  
  21. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  22.  

V6 ENGINE
  1. Carefully remove the right side rear trim panel.
  2.  
  3. Detach the electrical connectors from the blower motor and resistor pack.
  4.  
  5. Remove the fasteners securing the blower motor unit to the vehicle.
  6.  
  7. Remove the fasteners securing the blower motor flange to the blower motor housing.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
