OPERATION



This system uses a coolant temperature sensor to switch distributor vacuum ignition timing controls on or off to reduce hydrocarbon and oxides of nitrogen emissions. The coolant switch is calibrated at 149°F (49°C) for 1487cc and 1600cc engines, or 167°F (75°C) for 1751cc engine.
