SHIFT LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT

All Models

The Honda shift linkage on manual transaxle models 1973-83 is non-adjustable. However, if the linkage is binding, or if there is excessive play, check the linkage bushings and pivot points. Lubricate with light oil, or replace worn bushings as necessary. Always check for smooth operation.

The back-up light switch on these models screws into the rear of the transaxle case. The back-up light switch has a washer that must be replaced for the switch to work properly and to prevent oil leaks.
