Honda Accord/Prelude 1984-1995 Repair Guide

Upper Ball Joint

Print

Only the Prelude upper ball joints through 1991 are replaceable. The 1984-85 Accord has no upper control arm and therefore, no joint. On 1986-91 Accords and 1992-95 Preludes, the ball joint is permanently installed to the upper arm; it is not removable. If the joint fails or becomes loose, the upper arm assembly must be replaced.
