REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Matchmark the sway bar for proper reinstallation.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the sway bar links from the end of the sway bar.
  6.  
  7. Remove the sway bar bushing brackets from the vehicle's underbody.
  8.  
  9. Remove the sway bar.
  10.  
  11. If necessary you can disassemble the sway bar end link and bushings.
  12.  

To install:

  1. If necessary, assemble the sway bar end link and bushings.
  2.  
  3. Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the following steps:
  4.  
  5. Apply silicone grease between the sway bar bracket bushing and sway bar.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the sway bar retainers, as follows:

    Sway bar bracket-to-body bolts: 16 ft. lbs. (22 Nm)
     
    Sway bar end link nut and bolt for Prelude: 13 ft. lbs. (18 Nm)
     
    Sway bar end link nut and bolt for Accord: 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm)
