REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Front Turn Signal and Parking Lights

  1. Remove the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the screw from the front turn signal/parking light lens.
  4.  
  5. Pull the front turn signal light assembly from the front bumper.
  6.  
  7. Detach the 2 prong connector.
  8.  
  9. To remove the bulb socket from the light assembly, turn the socket 45 degrees counterclockwise.
  10.  
  11. Remove the bulb.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Inspect the bulb socket for corrosion or damage.
  2.  
  3. Install a new bulb into the holder.
  4.  
  5. The remainder of the installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
  6.  
  7. To ensure that the replacement bulb functions properly, activate the applicable switch to illuminate the bulb which was just replaced. If the replacement light bulb does not illuminate, either it is faulty or there is a problem in the bulb circuit or switch. Correct as necessary.

Front Turn Signal/Side Marker Light

  1. Remove the screw(s) from the front turn signal/side marker light assembly.
  2.  
  3. Pull the lens assembly from the front bumper.
  4.  
  5. Detach the two prong electrical connector from the light.
  6.  
  7. To remove the turn signal/side marker bulb(s), press in slightly and turn counterclockwise to release the bulb(s).
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  10.  
  11. To ensure that the replacement bulb functions properly, activate the applicable switch to illuminate the bulb which was just replaced. If the replacement light bulb does not illuminate, either it is faulty or there is a problem in the bulb circuit or switch. Correct as necessary.

Rear Turn Signal, Brake and Parking Lights

  1. Open the trunk.
  2.  
  3. Either carefully pry off the rear light trim covers, or unfasten the retainers then remove the trim covers.
  4.  
  5. If necessary, you can unplug the electrical connector from the bulb assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the bulb socket from the light assembly by turning it counterclockwise 1 / 4 of a turn.
  8.  
  9. To remove the bulb, carefully pull it straight out of the socket.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  12.  
  13. To ensure that the replacement bulb functions properly, activate the applicable switch to illuminate the bulb which was just replaced. If the replacement light bulb does not illuminate, either it is faulty or there is a problem in the bulb circuit or switch. Correct as necessary.

ACCORD WAGON
  1. Open the tailgate and remove the corner panel.
  2.  
  3. Unplug the weather pack connector from the taillight assembly.
  4.  
  5. Unfasten the rear light mounting screws, then remove the light assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the bulb by pushing it while you turn it 45 degrees counterclockwise.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  10.  

Rear Side Marker Light(s)
  1. Remove the screw from the rear side marker light.
  2.  
  3. Carefully pry the light out of the rear bumper.
  4.  

When prying out the rear side marker light, be careful along the painted surfaces of the bumper.

  1. Detach the 2 prong electrical connector.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bulb by turning it 45 degrees counterclockwise.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  6.  

High-mount Brake Light

  1. Open the trunk.
  2.  
  3. Press in on the tabs on either side to release the cover for the high-mount brake light. Some models require removing the high-mount brake light by removing the entire lens assembly.
  4.  
  5. Remove the bulb socket from the light assembly by turning it counterclockwise 1 / 4 of a turn.
  6.  
  7. To remove the bulb, carefully pull it straight out of the socket.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  10.  

Dome Light

  1. Using a small prytool, carefully remove the cover lens from the lamp assembly.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bulb from its retaining clip contacts. If the bulb has tapered ends, gently depress the spring clip/metal contact and disengage the light bulb, then pull it free of the two metal contacts.
  4.  

To install:

  1. Before installing the light bulb into the metal contacts, ensure that all electrical conducting surfaces are free of corrosion or dirt.
  2.  
  3. Position the bulb between the two metal contacts.
  4.  
  5. To ensure that the replacement bulb functions properly, activate the applicable switch to illuminate the bulb which was just replaced. If the replacement light bulb does not illuminate, either it is faulty or there is a problem in the bulb circuit or switch. Correct as necessary.
  6.  
  7. Install the cover lens until its retaining tabs are properly engaged.
  8.  

Cargo or Passenger Area Lamps
  1. Carefully pry the lens cover off of the light assembly.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bulb from the socket.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  6.  

License Plate Lights

  1. Remove the 2 Phillips screws securing the license plate light lens assembly, the remove the lens.
  2.  
  3. To remove the bulb, pull it carefully straight out of the socket.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
