As the accelerator pedal position changes, the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor varies the signal voltage to the PCM.

Specific to:

Honda Fit 2007-2008

The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor is a component of the electronic throttle control system. This sensor is located on the accelerator pedal.

Removal & Installation



Specific to:

Honda Accord 2007-2008

Honda Civic 2007-2008

Honda S2000 2007-2008

  1. Disconnect the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor connector, and then remove the mounting nuts.
  2.  
  3. Remove the accelerator pedal module.
    WARNING
    The APP sensor is not available separately. Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal module.

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse order of removal. Tighten the mounting bolts to 9.4 ft. lbs. (13 Nm).

Honda Fit 2007-2008

  1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal module connector.
  2.  
  3. Remove the accelerator pedal module.
    NOTE
    The APP sensor is not available separately. Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal module.
