Specific to:

Honda S2000 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 1 2P connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the ECT sensor 1.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

Honda S2000 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 1 2P connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the ECT sensor 1.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

2.4L Engine Sensor 1



Specific to:

Honda Accord 2007-2008

  1. Remove the air intake assembly.
  2.  
  3. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve.
  4.  
  5. Unbolt the under-hood fuse/relay box, and move the box aside.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor/ECT sensor 1 connector.
  8.  
  9. Remove the ECT sensor/ECT sensor 1.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

2.4L Engine Sensor 2



Specific to:

Honda Accord 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Remove the splash shield.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 2 connector (A), and then remove ECT sensor 2.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Install the ECT sensor 2 with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Install the splash shield.
  4.  
  5. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

3.0L Engine Sensor 1



Specific to:

Honda Accord 2007

  1. Remove the air intake assembly.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor/ECT sensor 1 connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the ECT sensor/ECT sensor 1.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

3.0L Engine Sensor 2



Specific to:

Honda Accord 2007

  1. Remove the throttle body.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 2 connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the ECT sensor 2.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

3.5L Engine Sensor 1



Specific to:

Honda Accord 2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Remove the engine appearance cover.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 1 2P connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the ECT sensor 1.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

3.5L Engine Sensor 2



Specific to:

Honda Accord 2008

  1. Remove the engine splash shield.
  2.  
  3. Drain the engine coolant.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 2 2P connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the ECT sensor 2.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

ECT Sensor 1



Specific to:

Honda Fit 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Remove the air cleaner.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 1 connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the ECT sensor 1.

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Tighten the sensor to 9 ft. lbs. (12 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.
  6.  

ECT Sensor 2



Specific to:

Honda Fit 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Remove the splash shield.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 2 connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove ECT sensor 2.

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Tighten the ECT sensor 2 to 9 ft. lbs. (12 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.
  6.  

Hybrid



Sensor 1

Specific to:

Honda Civic 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Remove the air intake assembly.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 1 2P connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the ECT sensor 1.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

Specific to:

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Remove the splash shield.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 2 2P connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the ECT sensor 2.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.
  4.  
  5. Install the splash shield.

1.8L Engine Sensor 1

Specific to:

Honda Civic 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 1 2P connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the ECT sensor 1.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

1.8L Engine Sensor 2

Specific to:

Honda Civic 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Remove the engine splash shield.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 2 2P connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the ECT sensor 2.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

2.0L Engine Sensor 1

Specific to:

Honda Civic 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Remove the air intake assembly.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor A 3P connector, and the CMP sensor B 3P connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the harness cover.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 1 2P connector.
  10.  
  11. Remove the ECT sensor 1.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.

2.0L Engine Sensor 2

Specific to:

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Remove the splash shield.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor 2 2P connector, and then remove ECT sensor 2.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Install parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring.
  2.  
  3. Refill the radiator with engine coolant.
