Honda Accord 2008

  1. Disconnect the battery cables.
  2.  
  3. Remove the mounting nuts, and remove the battery clamp and battery.
  4.  
  5. Remove the harness clamps and remove the battery base.
  6.  
  7. Remove the front grille cover.
  8.  
  9. Remove the water separator and air intake duct.
  10.  
  11. Remove the engine splash shield, if equipped with V6 engine.
  12.  
  13. Remove the coolant reservoir.
  14.  
  15. Disconnect the fan motor connectors, and then remove the wiring harness clamp.
  16.  
  17. Remove the A/C condenser fan shroud assembly and the radiator fan shroud assembly.
  18.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse order of removal.

Honda Accord 2007

Honda Civic 2007-2008

Honda S2000 2007-2008

The engine fan is removed with the radiator as an assembly. For additional information, refer to the following section, -Radiator, Removal and Installation.-

Specific to:

Honda Fit 2007-2008

  1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the audio system. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0).
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, then disconnect the positive cable.
  4.  
  5. Remove the battery.
  6.  
  7. Drain the engine coolant.
  8.  
  9. Remove the front bumper.
  10.  
  11. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
  12.  
  13. Remove the air cleaner housing bracket and reserve tank.
  14.  
  15. Remove the hood latch cover and the connector.
  16.  
  17. Remove the front bulkhead center bracket
  18.  
  19. If equipped with A/C, remove the A/C condenser upper brackets and clip
  20.  
  21. Remove the radiator upper brackets.
  22.  
  23. Remove the air guide plate.
  24.  
  25. Disconnect the radiator upper hose and the lower radiator hose.
  26.  
  27. Remove the splash shield.
  28.  
  29. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ETC) sensor 2 connector.
  30.  
  31. If equipped with A/T, disconnect the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) cooler hoses.
  32.  
  33. If equipped with A/C, disconnect the A/C compressor clutch connector, then loosen the A/C condenser fan shroud mounting bolt.

  35. If not equipped with A/C, disconnect the radiator fan motor connector, then remove the radiator fan shroud.
  36.  
  37. If equipped with A/C, disconnect the radiator fan motor connector and the A/C condenser fan motor connector. Then remove the radiator fan shroud and the A/C condenser fan shroud.
    NOTE
    Move the A/C condenser fan shroud toward the left side of the vehicle to allow for enough space to lift it up and away from the A/C condenser fan assembly.

  39. Move the A/C condenser towards the front of the vehicle to allow for removal of the radiator. Then carefully pull the radiator forward and upward until it is completely removed.

  41. Remove the remaining fan shroud components and hardware from the radiator.
  42.  

To install:

  1. Install the radiator in the reverse order of removal and noted the following:
    1. Make sure the upper and lower cushions are set securely.
    2.  
    3. Install the bulkhead in the reverse order of removal. Apply body paint to the bulkhead mounting bolts.
    4.  
    5. Fill the radiator with engine coolant and bleed the air.
