Removal & Installation



  1. Raise the front of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front wheel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the self-locking nut and the flange nut while holding the respective joint pin with a hex wrench, then remove the stabilizer link.

To install:

  1. Install the stabilizer link on the stabilizer bar and damper with the joint pins set at the center of their range of movement.
    NOTE
    The left stabilizer link has a yellow paint mark, while the right stabilizer link has a white paint mark.

  2.  
  3. Install a new self-locking nut and a new flange nut, and lightly tighten them.
  4.  
  5. Tighten the lower self-locking nut to 28 ft. lbs. (38 Nm) and the upper flange nut to 22 ft. lbs. (29 Nm), while holding the respective joint pin with a hex wrench.
  6.  
  7. Reinstall all removed parts, and test-drive the vehicle.
