  1. Place a jack or stand beneath the door to support its weight.
  2.  

Place a rag at lower edge of the door and jack or stand to prevent damage to painted surface. It is a good idea to have an assistant while doing this procedure.

  1. Remove the door check link pin. Remove door hinge-to-door bolts.
  2.  
  3. Remove the door. Remove the door hinge, if needed.
  4.  
  5. Install the door in position, tighten the door-to-hinge bolts to 16 ft. lbs. (22 Nm).
  6.  

When installing hinge, coat the hinge link with recommended multipurpose grease.

  1. Install the check link pin. Adjust the door.
  2.  

ADJUSTMENT



Front and Rear

See Figures 15 and 16

Proper door alignment can be obtained by adjusting the door hinge and door lock striker. The door hinge and striker can be moved up and down, fore and aft in enlarged holes by loosening the attaching bolts.

The door should be adjusted for an even and parallel fit for the door opening and surrounding body panels.
