There are no service parts available from Honda other than the distributor cap, rotor, igniter and igniter coil. If any other parts within the distributor require replacements, the entire assembly must be replaced.

IGNITION COIL

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the distributor cap retaining screws and remove the distributor cap and seal. Slide off the leak cover.
  4.  
  5. Remove the two screws that retain the BLK/YEL and WHT/BLU wires from the terminals in the distributor.
  6.  
  7. Remove the screws that retain the coil and remove the coil from the distributor body.
  8.  

To install:
  1. Install the coil in position and tighten the screws securely.
  2.  
  3. Reconnect the two leads and install the leak cover.
  4.  
  5. Install the distributor cap and seal.
  6.  

IGNITER UNIT



The igniter unit is called the Ignition Control Module (ICM) for 1993-95 models but is the same part. The radio noise condenser is built into it for 1992-95 models.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the distributor cap retaining screws and remove the distributor cap and seal. Slide off the leak cover.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the three leads from the igniter unit.
  6.  
  7. Remove the igniter unit retaining screw and remove the igniter unit.
  8.  
  9. Install the igniter unit in position and install the screw securely.
  10.  
  11. Reconnect the electrical leads and install the leak cover.
  12.  
  13. Install the distributor cap and seal.
  14.  

ROTOR



  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the distributor cap retaining screws and remove the distributor cap and seal. Slide off the leak cover.
  4.  
  5. Remove the rotor retaining screw and slide the rotor from the distributor shaft.
  6.  
  7. Install the new rotor in position on the distributor shaft and install the retaining screw. The rotor retaining screw should be tightened to 2.2 ft. lbs. (3 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Install the leak cover and the distributor cap.
