Door Lock Motor



Removal & Installation

NOTE
This procedure requires the use of the following tools or their equivalents:



KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014
 
Trim Pad remover, Snap-On A 177A
 


WARNING
Be careful not to scratch the door panel or door. Use the most appropriate tool from the trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components.

  1. Remove the door panel in the sequence shown in the accompanying illustration. Remove the panel with as little bending as possible to prevent creasing or breaking it.

  3. Detach the connectors, unfasten any necessary retainers, then remove the door lock motor.
  4.  

To install:

  1. Install the door lock motor, secure the retainers and attach the electrical connector.
  2.  
  3. Installation of the door panel is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:
    1. Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips and replace them with new ones.
    2.  
    3. Make sure the connectors are properly plugged in.
    4.  
    5. Check the operation of the window and power door locks.
    6.

  1. Install the door lock switch, secure the retainers and attach the electrical connector.
  2.  
  3. Installation of the door panel is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:
    1. Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips and replace them with new ones.

    5. Check the operation of the window and power door locks..
