Vehicle Identification Number

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is located on the instrument panel, close to the windshield on the driver's side of the vehicle. It is visible from outside the vehicle.

The 17-character label contains the following information:

Digits 1, 2 and 3 (a): Manufacturer, Make and Type of Vehicle - 2HJ, Honda of Canada MFG., Inc., HONDA CANADA INC. Light Duty Truck
Digits 4, 5 and 6 (b): Line, Body and Engine Type - YK1: Ridgeline/J35A9
Digit 7 (c): Body Type and Transmission Type - 6: 4-door/5-spd automatic
Digit 8 (d): Vehicle Grade (Series) -USA 2: RT, 4: RTS, 5: RTL (optional sunroof, XM radio and/or navigation system - Canada 4: LX, 5: EXL, EXL SR (optional Navigation system)
Digit 9 (e): Check digit
Digit 10 (f): Vehicle model year - ex. 6: 2006
Digit 11 (g): Factory Code - H: Alliston, Ontario Factory in Canada
Digits 12 through 17 (h): Serial Number
