Possible Causes:



VSS signal circuit from the sensor to the I/P Cluster to the PCM is open, shorted to ground or to system power
 
VSS (Magnetic) signal (+) or (-) circuit is open or shorted
 
VSS (Magnetic) is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Idle Speed Control System (Mechanical) Fault

Possible Causes:



Stepper motor Coil A1 or A2 circuit is open or shorted to ground
