  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Drain the engine oil.
  4.  
  5. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Negative battery cable
     
    Engine splash shield
     
    Exhaust front pipe
     
    Timing belt
     
    Oil pan
     

  6.  

To install:

  1. Apply a18
  2.  
  3. Install or connect the following:

    Oil pan and torque the bolts to 48-72 inch lbs. (6-8 Nm)
     
    Timing belt
     
    Exhaust front pipe
     
    Engine splash shield
     
    Negative battery cable
     

  4.  
  5. Fill the engine with clean oil.
  6.  
  7. Start the vehicle, check for leaks and repair if necessary.
  8.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Drain the engine oil.
  4.  
  5. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Negative battery cable
     
    Oil pressure switch
     
    Oil filter
     
    Oil pan and discard the gasket
     

  6.  
  7. Clean all mating surfaces of any residual gasket material.
  8.

To install:

  1. Apply a18
  2.  
  3. Install or connect the following:

    Oil pan and torque the bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm)
     
    Oil filter
     
    Oil pressure switch and torque the bolt to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm)
     
    Negative battery cable
     

  4.  
  5. Fill the engine with clean oil.
  6.  
  7. Start the vehicle, check for leaks and repair if necessary.
  8.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.

  3. Drain the engine oil.
  4.  
  5. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Negative battery cable
     
    Engine splash shield
     
    Exhaust front pipe
     
    Timing belt
     
    Oil pan
     

  6.  

To install:

  1. Apply a 1 / 8 in. (3mm) bead of RTV sealer along the groove in the oil pan.
  2.  
  3. Install or connect the following:

    Oil pan and torque the bolts to 48-72 inch lbs. (6-8 Nm)
     
    Timing belt
     
    Exhaust front pipe
     
    Engine splash shield
     
    Negative battery cable
     

  4.  
  5. Fill the engine with clean oil.
  6.  
  7. Start the vehicle, check for leaks and repair if necessary.
  8.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
