Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Front wheels
     
    Lower caliper mounting bolt and rotate the caliper upward
     
    Pads from the caliper support
     
    Pad clips, if necessary
     

  4.  

To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:

    Pad clips
     
    Pads onto the pad clips
     

  2.  
  3. Compress the caliper piston using a C-clamp. Rotate the caliper downward and install the mounting bolt.

    Wheels
     

  4.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Front wheels
     
    Lower caliper mounting bolt and rotate the caliper upward
     
    Pads from the caliper support
     
    Pad clips
     

  4.  

To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:

    Pad clips
     
    Pads onto the pad clips
     

  2.  
  3. Compress the caliper piston using a C-clamp. Rotate the caliper downward and install the mounting bolt.

    Wheels
     

  4.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Front wheels
     
    Small retaining pin from the lower part of the caliper
     

  4.  
  5. Swing the caliper up until it clears the rotor and pads.

    Pads and anti-squeal spring from the caliper support
     

  6.  

To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:

    Pads and anti-rattle spring
     

  2.  
  3. Compress the caliper piston using special tool 09580-3400.

    Caliper. Tighten the mounting bolts to 16-24 ft. lbs. (22-32 Nm).
     
    Master cylinder with clean brake fluid and bleed the hydraulic system
     
    Wheels

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front wheels.
  4.  
  5. Remove the lower caliper mounting bolt and rotate the caliper upward.
  6.  
  7. Remove the pads from the caliper support.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Install the pad clips.
  2.  
  3. Install the pads onto the pad clips.
  4.  
  5. Compress the caliper piston using a C-clamp.
  6.  
  7. Rotate the caliper downward and install the mounting bolt.
  8.  
  9. Install the wheels.
  10.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front wheels.
  4.  
  5. Remove the lower caliper mounting bolt and rotate the caliper upward.
  6.  
  7. Remove the pads from the caliper support.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Install the pad clips.
  2.  
  3. Install the pads onto the pad clips.
  4.  
  5. Compress the caliper piston using a C-clamp.
  6.  
  7. Rotate the caliper downward and install the mounting bolt.
  8.  
  9. Install the wheels.
  10.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front wheels.
  4.  
  5. Remove the small retaining pin from the lower part of the caliper.
  6.  
  7. Swing the caliper up until it clears the rotor and pads.
  8.  
  9. Lift the pads and anti-squeal spring from the caliper support.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Install the pads and anti-rattle spring.
  2.  
  3. Remove fluid from the master cylinder until it is half full.
  4.  
  5. Compress the caliper piston using special tool 09580-3400.
  6.  
  7. Install the caliper. Tighten the mounting bolts to 16-24 ft. lbs. (22-32 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Fill the master cylinder with clean brake fluid and bleed the hydraulic system.
  10.  
  11. Install the wheels.
  12.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Wheel
     
    Caliper mounting bolts
     
    Caliper and support aside with wire. Do not let the caliper hang by the hose.
     
    Pads and shims
     

  4.  

To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:

    Pads, clips and shims.
     

  2.  
  3. Bottom the caliper piston using tool 09581-11000 or a C-clamp

    Caliper mounting bolts and tighten to 16-24 ft. lbs. (22-32Nm)
     
    Wheel
