Hyundai Entourage 2007-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Recover the refrigerant with a recovery/recycling/charging station.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  6.  
  7. Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator, removal & installation.
  8.  
  9. Remove the 2 bolts holding the condenser in position.
  10.  
  11. Remove the condenser (A) by lifting it up.
    WARNING
    Be careful not to damage the radiator and condenser fins when removing the condenser.

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Note these items:

    If you're installing a new condenser, add refrigerant oil FD46XG (PAG).
     
    Replace the O-rings with new ones at each fitting, and apply a thin coat of refrigerant oil before installing them. Be sure to use the right O-rings for R-134a to avoid leakage.
     
    Be careful not to damage the radiator and condenser fins when installing the condenser.
     
    Be sure to install the lower mount cushions of condenser securely into the holes.
     
    Evacuate, charge the system, and test its performance.

Hyundai Azera 2006-2008

Hyundai Tiburon 2006-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Recover the refrigerant with a recovery/recycling/charging station.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  6.  
  7. Remove the coolant reservoir, but do not disconnect the reservoir hose from the coolant reservoir or the radiator-Tiburon only.
  8.  
  9. Remove the air duct after loosening the fasteners-Azera and Sonata.
  10.  
  11. Remove the bolts and remove the radiator bracket.
  12.  
  13. Remove the radiator-Accent and Elantra
  14.  
  15. Remove the nuts, then disconnect the discharge line and condenser line from the condenser.
    NOTE
    Plug or cap the lines immediately after disconnecting them to avoid moisture and dust contamination.

  17. Remove the bolts, then remove the condenser by lifting it up. Be careful not to damage the radiator and condenser fins when removing the condenser.

To install:

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  2.  
  3. If installing a new condenser, add refrigerant oil appropriate for the component.
  4.  
  5. Replace the O-rings with new ones at each fitting, and apply a thin coat of refrigerant oil before installing them. Be sure to use the right O-rings for R-134a to avoid leakage.

  7. Be careful not to damage the radiator and condenser fins when installing the condenser.
  8.  
  9. Be sure to install the lower mount cushions of condenser securely into the holes.
  10.  
  11. Evacuate and charge the system.
  12.  
  13. Test the performance of the A/C system.
  14.  
  15. Check the condenser fins for clogging and damage. If clogged, clean them with water, and blow them with compressed air. If bent, gently bend them using a screwdriver or pliers.

  17. Check the condenser connections for leakage, and repair or replace as required.
