Diagnosis & Testing
Motor & Regulator

Specific to:

Hyundai Entourage 2007-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Connect the 2P motor terminals directly to battery voltage (12 volts) and battery ground.
  4.  
  5. Check that the motor operates smoothly.
  6.  
  7. Next, reverse the polarity and check that the motor operates smoothly in the reverse direction.
  8.  
  9. If the operation is abnormal, replace the motor.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.

Switch

Specific to:

Hyundai Entourage 2007-2008

  1. Power window main switch, a component of CAN, performs CAN communication with the BCM, seat ECU, tilt ECU, passenger side power window switch and it also performs LIN communication with the switch module and the safety ECU.
  2.  
  3. Using Hyundai Vehicle Diagnosis, check the BCM input/output value of each position of the Driver Door Module (DDM) and the Assist Door Module (ADM).
  4.  
  5. At the CURRENT DATA screen, command each module and determine if a module or switch is faulty.
  6.  
  7. If the operation of the DDM or other ADM is faulty, replace the DDM or ADM.
  8.  
  9. If a power window switch responds abnormally, replace the switch.
  10.

Hyundai Azera 2006-2008

Hyundai Elantra 2006-2008

Hyundai Sonata 2006-2008

Hyundai Tiburon 2006-2008

Removal & Installation

Be careful not the scratch the door trim and other parts. Wear gloves to protect your hands.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4.  
  5. Remove the quadrant inner cover.

  7. Loosen the mounting screw, remove the inside handle cover.

  8.  
  9. Loosen the door trim (C) mounting screws.
  10.  
  11. Release the clips that hold the door trim, then remove the door trim by pulling it upward.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the power window switch connector (A), power mirror connector (B), and door courtesy lamp connector (D).

  15. Detach the power window motor connector (A), then loosen the mounting nuts and remove the power window motor (B).

  3. Remove the front door trim panel.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window motor.
  6.  
  7. Remove the bolts holding the power window motor.
  8.  
  9. Remove the power window motor.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  12.  
  13. Roll the glass up and down to see if it moves freely without binding.

Rear Door

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.

  3. Remove the rear door trim panel.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the power window motor connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the mounting bolts/nuts.
  8.  
  9. Remove the power window motor.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  12.  
  13. Roll the glass up and down to see if it moves freely without binding.

  9. Loosen the door trim (C) mounting screws. Release the clips that hold the door trim, then remove the door trim by pulling it upward. Disconnect the power window switch connector (A), power mirror connector (B), and door courtesy lamp connector (D).

  11. Loosen the mounting screws, then detach the connector (A).
