  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Drain the engine coolant.
  4.  
  5. Remove the radiator grille upper cover (A).

  7. For convenience sake, remove the radiator support upper member assembly (A).
    NOTE
    The bottom side bolt, which can be seen after removing the undercover, should be loosened for removal of the radiator support upper member assembly.

  9. Disconnect the radiator upper and lower hoses.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect the transaxle oil cooler hoses.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the radiator fan connectors (A).

  15. Disconnect the pressure lines from the radiator assembly.
  16.  
  17. Separate the condenser (A) from the radiator assembly (B) by removing the bolts (C).

  19. Remove the radiator bracket.
  20.  
  21. Remove the radiator assembly.
  22.  
  23. Remove the radiator cooling fans (A).

To install:

  1. Install the radiator fans to the radiator. Tightening torque: 48-72 inch lbs. (5-8 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Install the radiator assembly into the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Install the radiator bracket.
  6.  
  7. Fix the condenser to the radiator assembly. Tightening torque:
    1. Bolts (D): 48-72 inch lbs. (5-8 Nm).
    2.  
    3. Bolts (C): 60-84 inch lbs. (7-10 Nm).

  9. Connect the radiator fan connectors.
  10.  
  11. Connect the pressure lines to the radiator assembly.
  12.  
  13. Connect transaxle oil cooler hoses.
  14.  
  15. Connect radiator upper and lower hoses.
  16.  
  17. Install the radiator support upper member assembly.
  18.  
  19. Install the radiator grille upper cover.
  20.  
  21. Fill with engine coolant.
  22.  
  23. Start engine and check for leaks.
  24.  
  25. Recheck engine coolant level and add coolant as necessary.
  26.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the air duct.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  6.  
  7. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
  8.  
  9. Drain the cooling system. Remove the radiator cap to speed draining.
  10.  
  11. Remove the inlet hose from the radiator.
  12.  
  13. Remove the transmission oil cooler lines from the retainer clip at the bottom of the cooling fan shroud.
  14.  
  15. Remove the fan shroud clip from the condenser tubes.
  16.  
  17. Remove the bolt that connects the fan shroud to the condenser hold down bracket.
  18.  
  19. Remove the air deflectors from the top of the radiator.
  20.  
  21. Remove the cooling fan shroud bolts.
  22.  
  23. Remove the coolant reservoir hose from the radiator overflow neck.
  24.  
  25. Remove the radiator upper support brackets and bolts that connect to the fan shroud.
  26.  
  27. Disconnect the engine cooling fan motors electrical connectors.
  28.  
  29. Remove the cooling fan motors electrical harness from the fan shroud clips.
  30.  
  31. Remove the cooling fan shroud.
  32.  
  33. Remove the outlet hose from the radiator.
  34.  
  35. Disconnect the transaxle oil cooler pipes from the radiator.
  36.  
  37. Tilt the top of the radiator rearward.
  38.  
  39. Remove the condenser hold down bracket from the radiator.
  40.  
  41. Lift the condenser from the mounting tabs on the radiator and position the condenser aside.
  42.  
  43. Remove the radiator.
  44.  

To install:

  1. Install the radiator to the lower mounts.
    NOTE
    Verify that the condenser is fully seated in the radiator mounting tabs.

  2.  
  3. Install the condenser to the mounting tabs on the radiator.
  4.  
  5. Install the condenser hold down bracket to the radiator and condenser.
  6.  
  7. Install the outlet hose to the radiator.
  8.  
  9. Connect the transaxle oil cooler pipes to the radiator.
    NOTE
    Ensure the lower edge of the fan shroud engages the clip at the bottom of the radiator.

  10.  
  11. Install the cooling fan shroud.
  12.  
  13. Install the cooling fan motors electrical harness to the fan shroud clips.
  14.  
  15. Connect the engine cooling fan motors electrical connectors.
  16.  
  17. Install the fan shroud clip to the condenser tubes.
  18.  
  19. Install the cooling fan shroud bolts and tighten to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  20.  
  21. Install the radiator upper support brackets and bolts that connect to the fan shroud.
  22.  
  23. Install the air deflectors to the top of the radiator.
  24.  
  25. Install the bolt that connects the fan shroud to the condenser hold down bracket.
  26.  
  27. Install the inlet hose to the radiator.
  28.  
  29. Install the air cleaner assembly.
  30.  
  31. Install the coolant reservoir hose to the radiator overflow neck.
  32.  
  33. Install the transmission oil cooler lines to the retainer clip at the bottom of the cooling fan shroud.
  34.  
  35. Fill the cooling system.
  36.  
  37. Connect the negative battery cable.
  38.  
  39. Check for leaks.
