Specific to:

Hyundai Entourage 2007-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Place the vehicle-s wheels in the straight ahead position.
  4.  
  5. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Air Bag (Supplemental Restraint System), disarming the system.
  6.  
  7. Unfasten the retainers on the back of the steering wheel, then carefully remove the driver-s side air bag module.
  8.  
  9. Detach the electrical connectors.
  10.  
  11. Remove the steering wheel locknut.
    WARNING
    NEVER hammer on the steering wheel when removing it. This may damage the steering column.

  13. Matchmark the installed position of the steering wheel, then install a suitable steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel.

To install:

  1. Going by the aligning marks previously made, install the steering wheel onto the steering column.
  2.  
  3. Install the steering lock nut. Tighten to 29-36 ft. lbs. (40-50 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Insert the driver-s air bag module and tighten securely with new bolts. Tighten to 60-96 inch lbs. (8-11 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Air Bag (Supplemental Restraint System), arming the system.

Hyundai Sonata 2006-2008

Hyundai Tiburon 2006-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Air Bag (Supplemental Restraint System), disarming the system.
  4.  
  5. Remove bolts (A) shown in the illustration, and then remove the driver airbag module (B).

  7. Remove the steering wheel lock nut (A).

  9. After aligning the marks on the steering shaft and wheel (A), remove the steering wheel using the special tool (09561-11002).
    WARNING
    Do not hammer on the steering wheel to remove it as this may cause damage to the steering column.

To install:

  1. Going by the aligning marks previously made, install the steering wheel onto the steering column.
