Hyundai Entourage 2007-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
    NOTE
    Removal of the thermostat would have an adverse effect, causing a lowering of cooling efficiency. Do not remove the thermostat, even if the engine tends to overheat.

  3. Drain engine coolant just below the level of the thermostat.
  4.  
  5. Remove the water inlet (A) and thermostat (B).

To install:

  1. Place the thermostat in the thermostat housing.
    1. Install the thermostat with the jiggle valve upward.
    2.  
    3. Install a new thermostat (B).
    4.

  3. Install the water inlet (A). Tightening torque: 12-15 ft. lbs. (17-20 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Fill with engine coolant.
  6.  
  7. Start the engine and check for leaks.
  8.

CAUTION
Make sure the engine and radiator are cool to the touch prior to beginning this procedure in order to prevent scalding or burns.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Drain the coolant down to thermostat level or below.
  4.  
  5. Remove the coolant outlet fitting and gasket.
  6.  
  7. Remove the thermostat.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
