The front suspension consists of MacPherson struts, and lower arms. The strut assembly performs several suspension functions: it provides the steering knuckle mounting, the concentric coil acts the spring medium, the integral shock absorber provides dampening and the strut assembly locates the wheel. The stabilizer bar minimizes body roll when cornering. The lower arm acts to longitudinally locate the suspension/wheel.
