TCC System Malfunction (Stuck Off)

Possible Causes:



Converter charge valve is stuck causing the TCC "apply" pressure to be exhausted to the lube circuit
 
Converter limiting valve stuck open
 
Input shaft O-ring or torque converter O-ring leaking
 
TCC apply circuit internal damage or low main line oil pressure
 
Torque converter is damaged or it has failed
 
TSB 99-07-30-018 contains a repair procedure for this code

TCC System Malfunction (Stuck On)

Possible Causes:



Converter charge valve is stuck or stuck in the bore
 
Input shaft ball is loose
 
Input shaft to stator shaft seals damaged causing the TCC release circuit to leak
 
Input shaft is damaged (solenoid resistance is 3.8-7.2 ohms)
 
Torque converter O-ring damaged or leaking
 
Torque converter is damaged or it has failed

Transaxle Fluid Line Pressure Too High

Possible Causes:



PCS (solenoid) is damaged or it has failed
 
Pressure regulator it has failed (take the valve body apart to inspect for this problem and replace any necessary parts)
 
PCS control circuit is damaged or it has failed
 
PCM has failed

Transaxle 1-2 Shift Solenoid Performance (Stuck Off)

Possible Causes:



A/T 1-2 shift solenoid is stuck "off"

EGR valve has carbon buildup on the pintle and it is stuck open
 
EGR valve sticking open due to the wrong gasket or position
 
EGR valve sticking open due to ice formation around the valve

PCM has failed

Throttle Control System - In Limitation

Possible Causes:



If both DTC P1510 and P1516 are set, the throttle control low circuit may be shorted to ground

Throttle body assembly is damaged or it has failed
