HO2S-11 (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Signal Range/Performance

Possible Causes:



Key on, engine off: wiggle the HO2S wiring and note any change in the HO2S signal to locate a problem in the wiring.
 
If non- heater HO2S circuit is shorted to ground or to power; the Scan Tool will display 3.999 as the HO2S value (intermittent).
 
An open HO2S input pump current or reference ground circuit will read 1.000 for the HO2S-11 Lambda value on a Scan Tool.
 
An open, a short to ground, or a short to voltage on the HO2S may cause the engine to misfire on cylinders 1, 3 and 5.
 
HO2S is damaged (i.e., cracked) or air reference hole clogged
 
PCM has failed

Possible Causes:



Rear HO2S ground circuit is open or has a high resistance

Rear HO2S is damaged or it has failed
 
Monitor the HO2S-12 signal in closed loop. A Scan Tool will read bias voltage (421-479 mv) if an open circuit is present.
