Trouble Code: P0150



HO2S-21 (Bank 2 Sensor 1) Signal Range/Performance

Possible Causes:



Key on, engine off: wiggle the HO2S wiring and note any change in the HO2S signal to locate a problem in the wiring.
 
If non- heater HO2S circuit is shorted to ground or to power; the Scan Tool will display 3.999 as the HO2S value (intermittent).
 
An open HO2S input pump current or reference ground circuit will read 1.000 for the HO2S-21 Lambda value on a Scan Tool.
 
An open, a short to ground, or a short to voltage on the HO2S may cause the engine to misfire on cylinders 1, 3 and 5.
 
HO2S is damaged (i.e., cracked) or air reference hole clogged
 
PCM has failed

HO2S-21 (Bank 2 Sensor 1) Circuit Low Input

Possible Causes:



Air leaks in exhaust system, or the exhaust system is restricted
 
EVAP system problem (check canister, purge and vent valve)
 
Fuel system too lean (possible low fuel pressure, water in fuel)
 
HO2S connector is damaged, or the wiring is chafed or burnt
 
HO2S high circuit shorted to low reference or the heater ground
 
HO2S is damaged (i.e., cracked) or air reference hole clogged
 
PCM has failed

HO2S-21 (Bank 2 Sensor 1) Circuit High Input

Possible Causes:



Air leaks in exhaust system, or the exhaust system is restricted
 
EVAP system problem (check canister, purge and vent valve)
 
Fuel system too lean (possible low fuel pressure, water in fuel)
 
HO2S connector is damaged, or the wiring is chafed or burnt
 
HO2S high circuit shorted to low reference or the heater ground
 
HO2S is damaged (i.e., cracked) or air reference hole clogged
 
PCM has failed

Possible Causes:



Rear HO2S connector is damaged or shorted to ground
 
Front HO2S has failed and is affecting the rear HO2S signal
 
Power enrichment active while testing (possible lean condition)
 
Rear HO2S is damaged or it has failed
 
PCM has failed

Possible Causes:



Air leaks in exhaust system, intake manifold or vacuum lines
 
Fuel system too lean (possible low fuel pressure, water in fuel)

HO2S is damaged (i.e., cracked) or air reference hole clogged

HO2S-22 (Bank 2 Sensor 2) Circuit High Input

Possible Causes:



Fuel system is too rich (fuel pressure too high, fuel pressure regulator leaking, or one or more fuel injectors sticking/leaking)
 
HO2S element is contaminated with poor fuel, silicon or water
 
HO2S signal circuit is shorted to heater or system power (B+)
 
HO2S signal tracking (water intrusion) in the connector causing a short between the HO2S signal and heater power circuits
 
PCM has failed

HO2S-22 (Bank 2 Sensor 2) Signal Slow Response

Possible Causes:



Rear HO2S connector is damaged, open or shorted to ground
 
Front HO2S has failed and is affecting the rear HO2S signal
 
Rear HO2S is damaged or has failed (remove the rear HO2S and inspect it for possible silicon or fuel contamination)
 
PCM has failed

HO2S-22 (Bank 2 Sensor 2) Heater Circuit Malfunction

HO2S element is contaminated, deteriorated or it has failed
 
MAP sensor is out of calibration (check the MAP sensor signal)
 
Vacuum hose is disconnected, broken, leaking or loose

Possible Causes:



Base engine "mechanical" fault affecting one or more cylinders
 
EVAP system component has failed or canister fuel saturated

Fuel injector(s) is leaking or stuck partially open (one or more)
