Possible Causes:



Fuel level sensor is stuck in a single position
 
Fuel level sensor signal circuit is shorted to VREF power
 
Fuel level sensor ground circuit is open
 
Fuel level sensor is damaged or it has failed
 
PCM has failed

Low Speed Cooling Fan Relay Control Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



CFAN relay control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
CFAN relay control circuit is shorted to system power
 
CFAN relay power circuit is open (test the Cooling Fan 1 fuse)
 
CFAN relay is damaged or it has failed
 
PCM has failed (the internal control driver is damaged)

High Speed Cooling Fan Relay Control Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



CFAN relay control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
CFAN relay control circuit is shorted to system power
 
CFAN relay power circuit is open (test the Cooling Fan 1 fuse)
 
CFAN relay is damaged or it has failed
 
PCM has failed (the internal control driver is damaged)

Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal Range/Performance

Possible Causes:



Output shaft rotor is chipped, damaged or not properly aligned
 
OSS resistance specification: 800-1600 ohms at 68ºF
 
Right Front WSS resistance specification: from 1K to 2K ohms
 
VSS tip contains debris or metal shavings (an intermittent fault)
 
VSS positive (+) or (-) signal circuit open or shorted to ground
 
VSS is damaged or it has failed
 
VSS circuit from EBCM and PCM open or grounded (ABS only)

Output Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Output shaft rotor is chipped, damaged or not properly aligned
 
OSS tip contains debris or metal shavings (an intermittent fault)
 
OSS positive (+) or negative (-) circuit open or shorted
 
OSS is damaged (OSS resistance is from 1530-1870 ohms)
 
PCM is damaged

Possible Causes:



Output shaft rotor is chipped, damaged or not properly aligned
 
OSS tip contains debris or metal shavings (an intermittent fault)

OSS is damaged (OSS resistance is from 1530-1870 ohms)
 
PCM is damaged

Possible Causes:



Accessory drive component "loading" the engine
 
Air inlet duct is collapsed, loose or air filter element is clogged
 
Base engine problem (i.e., compression or misfire condition)
 
EGR valve may be binding or stuck in open position
 
Idle air inlet passage or throttle bore is dirty or full of deposits
 
IAC valve is damaged or it has failed

IAC System Too High

Possible Causes:



Air inlet duct is collapsed, loose or air filter element is clogged
 
Base engine problem (i.e., compression or misfire condition)
 
EGR valve may be binding or stuck in open position
 
IAC valve is damaged or it has failed
 
Idle air inlet passage or throttle bore is dirty or full of deposits
 
PCV valve incorrect or improperly installed, or hoses leaking

Possible Causes:



Main relay output circuit is open (may be an intermittent fault)
 
Main relay is damaged (use the repair chart for U2105 for diagnosis of the main relay)
 
Possible high resistance condition in the fusible link to battery
 
PCM is damaged
 
Vehicle may have been used to "jump start" another vehicle

System Voltage Too Low

Possible Causes:



Ignition system voltage circuit has a high resistance condition
 
Generator is damaged or it has failed (generator output too low)
 
Possible high resistance condition in the fusible link to battery
 
PCM has failed
 
Vehicle may have been used to "jump start" another vehicle

Possible Causes:



Ignition system voltage circuit has a high resistance condition

Perform the Diagnostic System Check for the PCM or the TCM

PCM has failed (replace and reprogram the PCM or TCM)
 
Perform the Security System (Passlock) Relearn Procedure

Possible Causes:



Perform the Diagnostic System Check for the PCM or TCM
 
Record any related trouble codes in memory
 
Reprogram the PCM or TCM and recheck for related trouble codes. If the same code resets, replace and reprogram the PCM or the TCM (depending upon which one set the code).
 
Perform the Security System (Passlock) Relearn Procedure

Check for TP sensor codes - repair these TP sensor codes first
 
If P0510 & P0523 are set, Circuit 485 may be shorted to ground
