  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove door sill trim plate if necessary.
  4.  
  5. Remove the plastic adjuster covers over the seat retainer bolts.
  6.  
  7. On 1995-96 models with power seats, remove the plastic trim plate below the front seats.
  8.  
  9. Reach under the seat and tag, then unfasten the wire harnesses attached to the seat. This applies to ALL models, not just models with power seats.
  10.  
  11. Loosen and remove the seat adjuster attaching bolts, starting at the rear of the seat and working forward.
  12.  
  13. Remove the seat from the vehicle. If you are removing a bench style seat, it is best to have an assistant available to help remove the seat.
  14.  

To install:
  1. Install the seat into the vehicle and secure in place with the retainer bolts. Tighten the seat attaching bolts to 29 ft. lbs. (38 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Attach the wire harnesses under the seat(s).
  4.  
  5. Attach the plastic trim panel on 1995-96 models with power seats.
  6.  
  7. Install the adjuster covers using the retainer screws.
  8.  
  9. Install the sill trim plate, if removed.
  10.  
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
  12.

  1. Remove the plastic adjuster covers over the seat retainer bolts and brackets, if equipped.
  2.  
  3. Loosen and remove the seat retainer bolts, starting at the front of the seat and working rearward.
  4.  
  5. If equipped with a folding seat, fold the seat and remove the seat from the vehicle. If you are removing a bench style seat, it is best to have an assistant available to help remove the seat.
  6.  
  7. If the seat will not fold, remove the floor mounted portion of the seat, then remove the bolts securing the seat back in place. When the bolts are removed, left the seat out of the vehicle.
  8.  

To install:
  1. Install the seat into the vehicle and secure in place with the retainer bolts. Tighten the seat attaching bolts to 29 ft. lbs. (38 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Attach any remaining trim pieces and securing hardware.
  4.
