Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  4.  
  5. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the union bolts and torque member bolts, and remove the brake caliper assembly from the vehicle.
    NOTE
    Position the assembly to the side. Do not allow the caliper to hang by the brake line. Do not disconnect the brake line from the caliper

  8.  
  9. Remove the rotor.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  4.  
  5. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the bottom guide pin from the caliper and swing the caliper cylinder body upward. Support the caliper with a wire. Do not disconnect the brake hose.
  8.  
  9. Remove the rotor.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Torque the guide pin to 16-23 ft. lbs. (22-31 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Check the master cylinder and add fluid if necessary.
  6.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  4.  
  5. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove both guide pin bolts securing the caliper to the steering knuckle.
  8.  
  9. Remove the caliper. Support the caliper with a wire. Do not disconnect the brake hose.
  10.  
  11. Remove the rotor.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Check the master cylinder and add fluid if necessary.
  4.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.

  3. Remove the front wheels.
  4.  
  5. Remove both guide pin bolts securing the caliper to the steering knuckle.
  6.  
  7. Remove the caliper. Support the caliper with a wire. Do not disconnect the brake hose.
  8.  
  9. Remove the rotor.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

  3. Check the master cylinder and add fluid if necessary.

  3. Remove the wheels.
  4.  
  5. Remove the guide pin bolts securing the caliper to it-s mounting.
  6.  
  7. Remove the caliper. Support the caliper with a wire. Do not disconnect the brake hose.
  8.  
  9. Remove the rotor.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Check the master cylinder and add fluid if necessary.
  4.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.

  3. Remove the wheels.
  4.  
  5. Remove the torque member mounting bolts.
  6.  
  7. Slide the caliper off of the rotor. Remove the caliper. Support the caliper with a wire. Do not disconnect the brake hose.
  8.  
  9. Remove the rotor.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Check the master cylinder and add fluid if necessary.
  4.
