Window Motor & Regulator



Removal & Installation
Front Door
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4.  
  5. Remove the power window/door lock switch assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the door finisher cap on the inside handle portion of the door panel. Remove the bolt.
  8.  
  9. Remove the door grip cap and remove the bolts for the door grip.
  10.  
  11. Insert a flat bladed tool between the panel on the vehicle and the retaining clips. Remove the door panel.
  12.  
  13. Remove the speaker unit.
  14.  
  15. Operate the power window switch to raise/lower the window until the glass bolts are visible.
  16.  
  17. Remove the glass bolts. Remove the module stop bolts.
  18.  
  19. Raise the door glass and hold it in position, using a suitable tool.
  20.  
  21. Remove the bolts and the module assembly from the vehicle.
  22.  
  23. Disconnect the harness connector from the module assembly and unclip the harness form the back of the module.
  24.  
  25. Separate the window motor from the module assembly.

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Reset the limit switch by raising the glass to the top position. While pressing and holding the reset switch, lower the glass to the bottom position. Release the reset switch. Verify that the reset switch returns to the original position. If not, pull the switch using the proper tool. Raise the glass to the top position.
    NOTE
    Do not operate the window automatically to raise the glass to the top position.

Rear Door
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4.  
  5. Remove the power window/door lock switch assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the door finisher cap on the inside handle portion of the door panel. Remove the bolt.
  8.  
  9. Remove the door grip cap and remove the bolts for the door grip.
  10.  
  11. Insert a flat bladed tool between the panel on the vehicle and the retaining clips. Remove the door panel.
  12.  
  13. Remove the rear door outside molding.
  14.  
  15. Remove the sealing screen.
  16.  
  17. Lower the door glass.
  18.  
  19. Remove the corner piece and screws and bolt.
  20.  
  21. Remove the corner piece assembly.
  22.  
  23. Operate the power window switch to raise/lower the window until the glass bolts are visible.
  24.  
  25. Remove the glass bolts. Remove the module stop bolts.
  26.  
  27. Raise the door glass and hold it in position, using a suitable tool.
  28.  
  29. Remove the bolts and the regulator assembly from the vehicle.
  30.  
  31. Disconnect the harness connector from the regulator assembly.
  32.  
  33. Separate the window motor from the regulator assembly.

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.  
  3. Reset the limit switch by raising the glass to the top position. While pressing and holding the reset switch, lower the glass to the bottom position. Release the reset switch. Window Switch



Removal & Installation
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4.  
  5. Carefully pry upward on the switch assembly.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the switch assembly.
  8.  
  9. Remove the switch assembly.
  10.  

To install:

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  2.
