REMOVAL & INSTALLATION




WARNING
When removing the seats, be careful not the damage the covers or tear the seams.


CAUTION
Due to the size and weight of a seat, have an assistant on hand to help.Front

  1. On CRV and 4-cylinder Odyssey models, perform the following:
    1. Slide the seat forward. Remove the seat track end/bolt covers.
    2.  
    3. Remove the attaching bolts.
    4.

  3. On V6 Odyssey models, perform the following:
    1. Wear gloves for protection.
    2.  
    3. Unsnap the front and rear lower seat frame covers.
    4.  
    5. Remove the attaching bolts.
    6.

  5. On CRV and 4-cylinder Odyssey models, perform the following:
    1. Slide the seat rearward.
    2.  
    3. Remove the seat track end covers.
    4.  
    5. Remove the attaching bolts.
    6.  

  6.  
  7. Lift the seat and then detach the seat electrical connectors and wiring harness clips.
  8.  
  9. Carefully remove the seat through the front door.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Rear

CRV
  1. Remove the lower hinge covers, then remove the bolts.
  2.  
  3. Fold the seat cushion forward, then remove the seat base cover fasteners and the seat base cover.
  4.  
  5. Remove the headrest.
  6.  
  7. If the seat is a tilting seat, tilt the seat slightly, if necessary, remove the seat latch striker.
  8.  
  9. Have an assistant carefully assist in removing the seat through the door opening.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

4-CYLINDER ODYSSEY-Six passenger models

The second seats on the six passenger model are designed to be easily removable.

  1. At the rear base of the seat pull up on both lock release levers while pulling up on the rear of the seat.
  2.  
  3. Pull the seat back slightly, then pivot the seat upward.
  4.  
  5. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
  6.  


CAUTION
Always remove an unfastened seat from the vehicle. Should an accident occur, the seat may become a projectile.

To install:
  1. Hook the front of the seat to the floor and push back on the locks, making sure both the front and the back of the seat are securely fastened before driving.
  2.  

4-CYLINDER ODYSSEY-Seven passenger models

The second seat on the seven passenger model is a bench style seat that can be removed as necessary.

  1. Raise the second seat.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bolts at the base of the seat supports.
  4.  
  5. Pull up and remove the seat.
  6.  
  7. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
  8.  


CAUTION
Always remove an unfastened seat from the vehicle. Should an accident occur, the seat may become a projectile.

To install:
  1. Install the seat support into the base and install the 10 x 1.25mm bolt and torque to 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm).

V6 ODYSSEY MODELS

The second seat removal procedures are the same for the bucket and bench seats, however due to the weight of the bench seat, an assistant should help with the removal and installation of the seat.

  1. Pull up the seat back adjustment lever and fold the seat forward.
  2.  
  3. Pull the lock release lever under the front corner of the seat and lift the rear of the seat.
  4.  
  5. Pull the seat back slightly while pivoting the seat upward to release the front of the seat.
  6.  


CAUTION
Always remove an unfastened seat from the vehicle. Should an accident occur, the seat may become a projectile.

To install:
  1. Hook the front of the seat to the floor and push the back into the locks, making sure both the front and the back of the seat are securely fastened before driving.
