Blower Motor

Removal & Installation



  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the right rear quarter trim panel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the retaining bolts (5) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (1).
  6.  
  7. Remove the retaining nuts (4) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (1) under the vehicle.
  8.  
  9. Remove the A/C and heater lines if necessary.

  11. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3,4).
  12.  
  13. Remove the blower motor screws.
  14.  
  15. Remove the blower motor (1) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (2).

To install:

  1. Install the blower motor-auxiliary (1) to the HVAC module-auxiliary (2).
  2.  
  3. Install the blower motor-auxiliary screws.
  4.  
  5. Tighten the screws to 18 inch. lbs. (2 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Connect the electrical connectors (3,4).
  8.  
  9. Install the blower motor-auxiliary (1) to the HVAC module-auxiliary (2).
  10.  
  11. Install the blower motor-auxiliary screws.
  12.  
  13. Tighten the screws to 18 inch. lbs. (2 Nm).
  14.  
  15. Connect the electrical connectors (3,4).

  17. Install the retaining bolts (5) to the HVAC module-auxiliary.
  18.  
  19. Tighten the HVAC module-auxiliary retaining bolts (5).
  20.  
  21. Tighten the bolts to 88 inch. lbs. (10 Nm).
  22.  
  23. Install the retaining nuts (4) to the HVAC module-auxiliary (1) under the vehicle.
  24.  
  25. Install A/C and heater lines if previously removed.

  27. Tighten the bolts to 88 inch. lbs. (10 Nm).
  28.  
  29. Install the right rear quarter trim.
  30.  
  31. Connect the negative battery cable.
  32.  

Front
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front floor console.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors (4) from the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  6.  
  7. Remove the air outlet duct from the blower motor-auxiliary.
  8.  
  9. Remove the screws (2, 5) from the blower motor-auxiliary.
  10.  
  11. Remove the blower motor-auxiliary (3).

To install:

  1. Install the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  2.  
  3. Install the retaining screws (2, 5) to the blower motor-auxiliary.
  4.  
  5. Tighten the screws to 10 N-m (88 lb in).
  6.  
  7. Install the air outlet duct to the blower motor-auxiliary.
  8.  
  9. Connect the electrical connectors (4) to the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  10.  
  11. Install the front floor console.
  12.  
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.
  14.
