Removal & Installation



Lower
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the tire and wheel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the wheelhouse panel.
  6.  
  7. Raise and support the rear axle at the designed D-height.
  8.  
  9. If equipped with air suspension, depressurize the air suspension system.
  10.  
  11. If equipped with air suspension, disconnect the air suspension leveling sensor link from the rear axle upper control arm.
  12.  
  13. Remove the rear axle lower control arm to axle mounting bolt and nut.
  14.  
  15. Remove the rear axle lower control arm to frame mounting bolt.
  16.  
  17. Remove the rear axle lower control arm.
  18.  

To install:

  1. Install the rear axle lower control arm.
  2.  
  3. Install the rear axle lower control arm to frame mounting bolt.
  4.  
  5. Install the rear axle lower control arm to axle mounting nut and bolt.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the rear axle lower control arm mounting bolts to 97 ft. lbs. (131 Nm).
  8.  
  9. If equipped with air suspension, connect the air suspension leveling sensor link to the rear axle upper control arm.
  10.  
  11. Remove the rear axle support.
  12.  
  13. Install the wheelhouse panel.
  14.  
  15. Install the tire and wheel.
  16.  
  17. Lower the vehicle.
  18.  

Upper
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the tire and wheel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the wheelhouse panel.
  6.  
  7. Raise and support the rear axle at the designed D-height.
  8.  
  9. If equipped with air suspension, depressurize the air suspension system.
  10.  
  11. If equipped with air suspension, disconnect the air suspension leveling sensor link from the rear axle upper control arm.
  12.  
  13. Remove the rear axle upper control arm to axle mounting bolt and nut.
  14.  
  15. Remove the rear axle upper control arm to frame mounting bolt.
  16.  
  17. Remove the rear axle upper control arm.

To install:

  1. Install the rear axle upper control arm.
  2.  
  3. Install the rear axle upper control arm to frame mounting bolt.
  4.  
  5. Install the rear axle upper control arm to axle mounting nut and bolt.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the rear axle upper control arm mounting bolts to 97 ft. lbs. (131 Nm).
  8.  
  9. If equipped with air suspension, connect the air suspension leveling sensor link to the rear axle upper control arm.
  10.  
  11. Remove the rear axle support.
  12.  
  13. Install the wheelhouse panel.
  14.  
  15. Install the tire and wheel.
  16.  
  17. Lower the vehicle.
  18.
