To install:

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedures.
  2.
  3. When installing the hub nut, perform the following procedures:
  4.
    1. Torque the hub nut to 22 ft. lbs. and loosen the nut.
    2.
    3. Using a spring gauge, connect it to the stud bolt at 90and#x00B0;.
    4.
    5. Retorque the hub nut until the spring gauge measures a bearing preload of 4.4 and 195.5 lbs. (new bearing and oil seal) or 2.6 and 194.0 lbs. (used bearing and new oil seal).
    6.

  5. Adjust the snapring clearance by performing the following procedures:
  6.
    1. Install the special adjusting tool onto the hub until it comes in contact with the lock washer.
    2.
    3. Using a feeler gauge, measure the clearance t between the hub and the snapring groove on the axle shaft.
    4.
    5. If the clearance is larger than the snapring groove, install shims on the shaft so clearance t is 00.039 in. (00.1mm).
