Carbureted and throttle body injected engines have air cleaner assemblies mounted directly above the fuel system on the engine. Multi-port fuel injected engines have air cleaner assemblies mounted away from the intake runners out the way. The MPI assembly is a rectangular shape. Depending on the model, remove the retaining screws or snaps to access the air cleaner element.
Replace the air cleaner element every 30,000 miles with driven in normal conditions and 15,000 when driven in dusty conditions.
