Mode Control Cable



  1. Remove the radio.
  2.  
  3. Remove the mounting screws from the HVAC control assembly.
  4.  
  5. Remove the mode cable (4) from the retaining clip (3) and remove the mode cable.
  6.  
  7. Remove the mode cable (4) from the mode control cam.

  9. Remove the mode cable (3) from the HVAC control assembly (6).
  10.  
  11. Remove the mode control cable.

To install:

  1. Install the mode cable. Make certain that the cable is properly seated in the notches in the HVAC control assembly
  2.  
  3. Install the mode cable (3) to the HVAC control assembly
  4.  
  5. Install the mode cable to the retaining clip.
  6.  
  7. Install the mounting screws to the HVAC control assembly. Tighten the screws to 17 inch lbs. (1.9 Nm)
  8.  
  9. Install the radio.
  10.  

Temperature Control Cable



  1. Remove the accessory trim plate by performing the following:
    1. Carefully use a plastic flat-bladed tool to release the trim plate retaining clips.
    2.  
    3. Remove the trim plate from the instrument panel (I/P).
    4.  
    5. Disconnect the electrical connectors, as necessary.
    6.  
    7. If necessary, remove the center air outlets.

  3. Remove the mounting screws from the HVAC control assembly.
  4.  
  5. Remove the temperature cable (4) from the retaining clip and remove the temperature cable.
  6.  
  7. Remove the temperature cable (4) from the temperature control cam (5).
  8.  
  9. Fully open the I/P storage compartment.

  11. Remove the temperature control cable from the retaining clip. Remove the temperature control cable from the retaining clip.
  12.  
  13. Remove the temperature control cable (9) from the temperature actuator cam (10).
  14.  
  15. Remove the temperature control cable.

To install:

  1. Install the temperature cable.
  2.  
  3. Install the temperature control cable (9) to the temperature actuator cam.
  4.  
  5. Install the temperature cable to the retaining clip.
  6.  
  7. Install the temperature cable (4) to the temperature control cam
  8.  
  9. Install the temperature cable (4) to the retaining clip.
  10.  
  11. Install the mounting screws to the HVAC control assembly. Tighten the screws to 17 inch lbs. (1.9 Nm)
  12.  
  13. Install the accessory trim plate by performing the following:
    1. If necessary, install the center air outlets to the trim panel.
    2.  
    3. Install the electrical connectors, as necessary.
    4.  
    5. Position the trim plate to the I/P.
    6.  
    7. Ensure the retaining clips are indexed to the corresponding slots provided in the I/P.
    8.  
    9. Seat the trim plate retaining clips to the I/P.
    10.
