Front Exhaust Pipe (Head Pipe)
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
Raise and support the front end on jackstands.
Disconnect any oxygen sensor wires or air injection pipes.
Disconnect the front pipe at the manifold(s).
Disconnect the rear end of the pipe from the muffler or catalytic converter.
Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the pipe-to-manifold nuts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm) on 4-cylinder engines, or 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm). on the 6-225 engine. Make sure the pipe is properly aligned.
