REMOVAL & INSTALLATION FC Series



  1. Pull off the knobs.
  2.  
  3. Remove the two mounting screws from the top of the instrument panel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the bezel nuts from the control shafts and slide out the radio.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the wiring and antenna lead.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  10.  

Jeepster/Commando

  1. Pull off the inner and outer radio control knobs.
  2.  
  3. Remove the two attaching nuts.
  4.  
  5. Remove the antenna lead.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the rear support strap from the radio, push the radio back to clear the instrument panel and lower the radio far enough to disconnect the speaker leads.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the fused wire and remove the radio.
  10.  
  11. Install the radio in the reverse order of removal.

1962-83 Wagoneer, Cherokee and J-Series Truck

  1. Open the glove box door and remove the glove box liner and the lock striker.
  2.  
  3. Remove the antenna lead.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the fused wire from the fuse panel.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the rear support strap from the radio.
  8.  
  9. Pull off the radio control knobs and remove the radio attaching nuts.
  10.  
  11. Push the radio back to clear the dash panel and remove the radio through the glove box.
  12.  
  13. Install the radio in the reverse order of removal.
