1991-98 Jeep vehicles are not equipped with an ignition control module. However, the functions of the ignition control module are performed by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU), also known as the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
The ignition control module on all Jeep models, except 1991-98 vehicles, is mounted together with the ignition coil. It is removed from the vehicle using the same procedure as the ignition coil removal and installation, but can be serviced separately.
