On models with power steering, check the fluid in the power steering pump every 7,500 miles. (12,000 km). The fluid level can be checked with the fluid either hot or cold. Fluid level should be at the correct point (FULL HOT or FULL COLD) on the dipstick attached to the inside of the lid of the power steering pump. Fill the unit with power steering fluid to the proper level. To avoid spills, always use a funnel. If the pump is low on fluid, check all the power steering hoses and connections, and the hydraulic cylinder for possible leaks.
