Vehicle Speed Sensor Performance

Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running OSS signal over 775 rpm, L4 switch indicating "off", and the PCM did not detect any VSS signals during the CCM test.

Possible Causes:



Vehicle speed sensor circuit to the Meter Fuse is open
 
VSS signal ground circuit is open
 
VSS signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
VSS signal circuit is shorted to VREF or system power (B+)
 
VSS is damaged or failed, or the speedometer is damaged
