Trouble Code Conditions: Monitor deviation between camshaft position set point and actual value.

A Camshaft Position- Timing Over retarded (Bank 1)

Trouble Code Conditions: Determines if the phaser is stuck or has a steady error.

Trouble Code: P0016

Crankshaft Position- Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor A)

Trouble Code Conditions: Monitor camshaft position in the full retard condition or during CVVT control. Camshaft switching out of 109 to 141 degrees in full retard position, 70 to 140 degrees CRK during CVVT control.

Possible Causes:



Abnormal installation of camshaft
 
Abnormal installation of crankshaft
 
Abnormal installation of tone wheel

Trouble Code Conditions: Determines if CAM (B2) target is aligned correctly to the crank. No active faults.
