    Trouble Code: P1309

    Chassis Acceleration Sensor High Input

    Trouble Code Conditions: Vehicle driven to a speed of over 10 mph, and the PCM detected the Chassis Acceleration Sensor signal was too high during the test. Note: If DTC P0501 or P1500 is set, repair these trouble codes first.

    Possible Causes:



    Chassis Acceleration sensor signal circuit is shorted to power
     
    Chassis Acceleration sensor ground circuit is open
     
    Chassis Acceleration sensor is damaged or has failed
     
    PCM is damaged
     

    Trouble Code: P1458

    Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Circuit Malfunction

    Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running and PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the A/C Compressor Clutch signal circuit during the test.

    Possible Causes:



    A/C compressor clutch circuit is open
     
    A/C compressor clutch circuit is shorted to ground
     
    A/C compressor clutch circuit is shorted to system power
     
    PCM has failed
     

    Trouble Code: P1500

    Vehicle Speed Sensor Performance

    Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running OSS signal over 775 rpm, L4 switch indicating "off", and the PCM did not detect any VSS signals during the CCM test.

    Possible Causes:



    Vehicle speed sensor circuit to the Meter Fuse is open
     
    VSS signal ground circuit is open
     
    VSS signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
     
    VSS signal circuit is shorted to VREF or system power (B+)
     
    VSS is damaged or failed, or the speedometer is damaged
     
    TSB 2TD004 (8/00) contains information related to this code
     

    Trouble Code: P1505

    IAC Valve Opening Coil Signal Low

    Trouble Code Conditions: Engine runtime over 5 seconds, and the PCM detected the IAC Valve Opening Coil signal remained in a low state during the test.

    Possible Causes:



    IAC valve control signal is open
     
    IAC valve control signal is shorted to ground
     
    IAC valve is damaged or has failed
     
    PCM has failed (IAC "driver" circuit may be open in the PCM)

    IAC Valve Opening Coil Signal High

    Trouble Code Conditions: Engine runtime over 5 seconds, and the PCM detected the IAC Valve Opening Coil signal remained in a high state during the test.

    MIL request control circuit is shorted to sensor ground
     
    MIL request control circuit is shorted to chassis ground
     
    PCM is damaged

    MIL Request Circuit High Input

    Trouble Code Conditions: Key on or engine running, and the PCM detected the MIL Request circuit remained in a high state during the CCM test.

    Possible Causes:



    MIL request control circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
     
    MIL "bulb" circuit is open or missing
     
    PCM is damaged
     

    Trouble Code: P1624

    MIL Request Circuit (TCM To PCM) Circuit Malfunction

    Trouble Code Conditions: Key on or engine running and PCM detected a signal from the TCM indicating it had detected a problem in the MIL Request circuit.

    Possible Causes:



    Perform the related TCM diagnostics
     
    TCM may have failed
     

    Trouble Code: P1632

    Generator Battery Detection Circuit Malfunction

    Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running, and the PCM detected the Battery Detection circuit voltage was less than 8 volts during the CCM test.

    Circuit C249-9 open between the Generator and the PCM

    Cooling Fan Circuit Malfunction

    Trouble Code Conditions: Key on or the engine running and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the Fan control circuit during the CCM test. Note: The cooling fan relay pull-in coil resistance is 80 ohms at 68°F.

    Cooling fan relay control circuit is open
     
    Cooling fan relay control circuit is shorted to ground
     
    Cooling fan relay is damaged or has failed
     
    PCM has failed
     

    Trouble Code: P1693

    MIL Circuit Malfunction

    Trouble Code Conditions: Key on, and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the TCM to MIL control circuit during the CCM test.

    Possible Causes:



    MIL control circuit is open
     
    MIL control circuit is shorted to ground
     
    MIL control circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
     
    MIL "bulb" is open or missing
     
    PCM has failed
     

    Trouble Code: P1700

    Overdrive (O/D) Off Lamp Circuit Malfunction

    Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the Overdrive Off Lamp circuit during the CCM test.

    Possible Causes:



    O/D "Off" lamp circuit is open between PCM and the TCM
     
    O/D "Off" lamp circuit is shorted to ground between the TCM and the PCM
     
    O/D "Off" lam circuit is shorted to system power between the TCM and the PCM
     

    Trouble Code: P1780

    Transmission Control Spark Advance Circuit Malfunction

    Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running and the PCM detected an unexpected circuit condition on the Transmission Controlled Spark Advance circuit.

    Possible Causes:



    Spark advance circuit is open between the TCM and the PCM
     
    Spark advance circuit shorted to ground between the TCM and the PCM
     
    TCM or the PCM has failed
     

    Trouble Code: P1797

    Clutch Pedal Switch Clutch Malfunction

    Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running, and the PCM did not detect a change in the Clutch switch signal for 33 seconds after the clutch was engaged and released.

    Possible Causes:



    Clutch pedal position switch signal circuit is open
     
    Clutch pedal position switch signal circuit is shorted to ground
     
    Clutch pedal position switch signal circuit is shorted to power
     
    Clutch pedal position switch is damaged or has failed
     
    PCM has failed
     

    Trouble Code: P1800

    Engine Torque Circuit Malfunction

    Trouble Code Conditions: Engine running, and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the Engine Torque Signal circuit during the CCM test.

    Possible Causes:



    Engine torque signal circuit is open between PCM and the TCM
     
    Engine torque signal circuit is shorted to ground between the TCM and the PCM
     
    Engine torque signal circuit is shorted to system power between the TCM and the PCM
